Orange Eight Ltd and its subsidiaries and affiliates (collectively, ‘Orange Eight’, ‘us’, or ‘we’) are committed to protect your privacy and confidentiality of your information.

Definition and interpretation
The following terms, as used in this Privacy Policy, shall be interpreted in accordance with prevailing Data Protection Legislations, including but not limited to the Mauritius Data Protection Act 2017.

“Personal Data” means any information relating to a data subject;
‘’Processing” means an operation performed on customer data whether or not by automated means, such as collection, recording, organisation, structuring, storage, adaptation or alteration, retrieval, consultation, use, disclosure by transmission, dissemination or otherwise making available, alignment or combination, restriction, erasure or destruction. The word “Processed” shall be construed accordingly;
“Personal data breach” means a breach of security leading to the accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorized disclosure of, or access to, personal data transmitted, stored or otherwise processed.
“Processing” means an operation performed on Customer Data whether or not by automated means, such as collection, recording, organisation, structuring, storage, adaptation or alteration, retrieval, consultation, use, disclosure by transmission, dissemination or otherwise making available, alignment or combination, restriction, erasure or destruction. The word “Processed” shall be construed accordingly
“Processor” means a person who, or public body which, processes personal data on behalf of a controller;
“Third party” means a person or public body other than a data subject, a controller, a processor or a person who, under the direct authority of a controller or processor, who or which is authorised to process personal data.

Orange Eight may use, collect and process your Personal Data in the following circumstances:

Orange Eight may transfer/ share Personal Data with the following Third Parties, for the sole purpose of performing its contractual, legal or regulatory duties:

- Regulatory authorities and/or any other relevant authority;

Transfer of Personal Data outside Mauritius
We may transfer your Personal Data outside Mauritius for storage purposes, or if same is required for the performance of an agreement we have with you. We shall ensure that all appropriate safeguards are in place to cater for appropriate security of the data, and relevant steps are taken in accordance with provisions of the Data Protection Laws.
Your Rights under the Data Protection Laws
Subject to the limits imposed by the Data Protection Laws, Data Subjects have the following rights:
- Right of access to any Personal Data processed by Orange Eight;
- Right to confirm whether any Personal Data is or has been processed;
- Right to rectification of Personal Data which is inaccurate or incomplete;
- Right to erasure of Personal Data on legitimate grounds;
- Right to restriction on the use of Personal Data on legitimate grounds;
- Right to object to the processing of Personal Data;
- Withdrawal of consent at any point, if consent was required for the processing of the particular Personal Data;
- Right to lodge a complaint to the Mauritius Data Protection Office regarding the processing of Personal Data;
- Right to object to automated processing of Personal Data.

Security of your Personal Data
We are committed to ensuring the security of your Personal Data. We have put in place appropriate measures, procedures to safeguard the information we collect online or otherwise.
We limit access to your Personal Data to those who have a genuine business requirement to know it. Those processing your information shall also be subject to a duty of confidentiality and to our policies and procedures.
We also have procedures in place to deal with any suspected data security breach. In case any breach occurs, we will notify you and the Data Protection Office where we are legally obliged to do so.
How long do we keep your Personal Data?
We shall ensure that your Personal Data is not stored for a period longer than is reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected.
